Welcome to Masala Art - the art of blending spices
Over the past 30 years, our family has adopted some of the finest
culinary work done by the new breed of chefs in India and implemented
them in our Boston area restaurants – Bombay Club (Harvard Square
and Faneuil Hall Market Place), Curry Leaf (Natick) and Kebab-N-Kurry
(Back Bay) where we started our first venture. During our quest for
excellence, we developed our own recipes
At Masala Art we offer pre-set dining options in addition to our traditional
á-la-carte menu. At our exclusive nine-seat “Masala Art - Spice Bar,”
our executive chef will take you on a gastronomical experience like no
other. He will provide interactive cooking sessions beginning with
whole spices, grinding and blending them, and explaining their affects
on health, while preparing a full feast for our guests. This allows
for a unique insight and adventure with Indian cuisine.
The spice blends for our masala and curries are mixed by hand
at Masala Art. The subtle nuances found in our dishes are a result
of this careful balance of seasoning. We cook using traditional equipment
including our tavas (cast iron griddles) and our tandoor (a charcoal fired
clay oven) that produces the most tender skewered meats and fabulous
freshly baked breads. Our dishes are served in authentic karahis
(traditional Indian serving pieces). Our menus offer choices of
vegetarian, non-vegetarian and seafood preparations. We also
extend plenty of options for children.
